Notes
At its 78th plenary meeting, on 11 June 2021, the General Assembly, in accordance with Article 23 of the Charter of the United Nations, rule 142 of the rules of procedure of the Assembly and paragraph 17 of Assembly resolution 68/307 of 10 September 2014, elected Albania, Brazil, Gabon, Ghana and the United Arab Emirates as non-permanent members of the Security Council for a 2-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2022 to fill the vacancies occurring on the expiration of the terms of office of Estonia, Niger, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Tunisia and Viet Nam.
