      abstract = {Six years ago, the international community reaffirmed its  political will and commitment to the international legal  framework to combat trafficking in persons. In July 2010,  the United Nations  General Assembly adopted the Global  Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons. The Global  Plan reiterated the collective effort behind the UN  Trafficking in Persons Protocol and gave UNODC the mandate  to collect data and report biennially on trafficking in  persons patterns and flows at the national, regional  and  international levels. This edition of the Global Report on  Trafficking in Persons is the third publication following  this mandate. It covers 136 countries and provides a  comprehensive analysis of the crime of trafficking in  persons and how countries are responding to it.},
