UN-I-QUE was based on a ready reference card file and provided citation to the symbols for documents throughout the history of the organization. Each record within UN-I-QUE was comprehensive historically. It was one of the first online databases available on the UN website. UN-I-QUE did not provide citation to all documents, but to certain documents of a recurrent nature. In 2014, the Library stopped updating UN-I-QUE. In 2017, a project was undertaken to migrate the information in UN-I-QUE to other systems. For example, series titles were added to bibliographic records in the Library's catalogue. The series titles for Official Records of the General Assembly (GAOR) and Economic and Social Council (ESCOR) reproduce the lists of symbols in UN-I-QUE for the annual or sessional reports of their respective subsidiary bodies, with links to the full text when available. UN-I-QUE was decommissioned in 2019. The attached file is an export from UN-I-QUE after it was retired.
