This study reviews current economic developments in the Middle East from 1957 to 1958. Details of economic activity for each country - reflecting the variations in total, sectoral and per capita income - are fully treated in this study. It notes, inter alia, that industrial output outside the oil sector made good progress during the period from 1957 to 1958.
