Revision 1 of this set of country or area codes has been updated to 1 July 1975. It provides a list of all populated countries or areas in the world in English only with their three-digit numerical code, eight-character and twelve-character abbreviation assigned by the Statistics Division of the United Nations Secretariat and their two and three-character abbreviation assigned by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
