This is the first of a series of annual statements. It summarizes anomalous climatic events of the year and presents historical trends of significant climatic parameters. Information was provided by the Climate Analysis Center, USA, with inputs from climate centres in Australia, Germany, the Russian Federation, Spain and the United Kingdom.
