Summary
Requests the Secretary-General to consider using the services of the University in his conflict-resolution and peace-building efforts; invites Member States, non-governmental organizations and intergovernmental bodies, as well as interested organizations and individuals, to contribute directly to the Trust Fund for Peace or to the budget of the University; invites Member States to accede to the International Agreement for the Establishment of the University for Peace, thereby demonstrating their support for an educational institution devoted to the promotion of a universal culture of peace; invites Member States, non-governmental organizations and intergovernmental bodies and all the people of the world to celebrate One Day in Peace, 1 January 2000.
