Standard country or area codes for statistical use.

Revision 2 of this set of country or area codes has been updated to 1 January 1982. It provides a list of all populated countries or areas in the world in English only with their three-digit numerical code, eight-character and twelve-character abbreviation assigned by the Statistics Division of the United Nations Secretariat and their two and three-character abbreviation assigned by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Additional listings show the country/area composition of geographical groupings and the composition of economic, trade and other groupings of countries or areas, also with three-digit numerical codes assigned by the Statistics Division for statistical use. Annex tables indicate changes in numerical codes since revision 1 of the publication was issued in 1975.
