Summary
Welcomes the efforts of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the relevant components of the UN system, within their respective mandates, towards the implementation of agreed conclusions; stresses the need for further efforts for the full implementation by the relevant components of the UN system of agreed conclusions 1998/2; decides that the implementation of agreed conclusions 1998/2 shall be taken into account as part of the overall review by the Economic and Social Council in 2000 of progress made in an integrated and coordinated implementation of and follow-up to major UN conferences and summits.
