International regulation and control of trade in poppy seeds
Summary
Calls upon Member States to take measures to fight the international trade in poppy seeds from countries where no licit cultivation of opium poppy is permitted; urges all Member States that have not already done so to prohibit the cultivation of the opium poppy; requests the International Narcotics Control Board and the UN International Drug Control Programme to take appropriate measures to ensure the full implementation of article 22 of the 1961 Convention by concerned Member States.
