Expresses its appreciation to the Commission on Human Rights for finalizing the draft declaration; approves the draft declaration on the right and responsibility of individuals, groups and organs of society to promote and protect universally recognized human rights and fundamental freedoms, as contained in the annex to Commission on Human Rights resolution 1999/87 and recommends it to the General Assembly for adoption at its 53rd session; recommends that, after adoption by the General Assembly, the full text of the Declaration should be disseminated as widely as possible.
