Financing of the UN Transitional Administration for Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium and the Civilian Police Support Group

Decides to continue to use the Special Account for the UN Transitional Administration for Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium for the Support Group beginning on 16 Jan. 1998; decides also to reduce the appropriation provided by the General Assembly in its resolution 51/153 B in the amount of US$275,344,900 gross, inclusive of the amount of $10,276,000 for the support account for peacekeeping operations, for the maintenance of the Transitional Administration for the period from 1 July 1997-30 June 1998, to the amount of $134,824,800 gross, inclusive of the amount of $10,276,000 for the support account; decides further to reduce the apportionment provided by the General Assembly in its resolution 51/153 B at a monthly rate of $22,945,408 gross, subject to the decision of the Security Council to extend the mandate of the Transitional Administration, to the amount of $111,824,800 gross for the maintenance of the Transitional Administration for the period from 1 July 1997 to the end of its mandate on 15 Jan. 1998; decides to apportion the amount of $23 million gross for the liquidation of the Transitional Administration and the maintenance of the Support Group for the period from 16 Jan.-30 June 1998 among Member States; decides also to appropriate the amount of $7,483,160 gross for the maintenance and liquidation of the Support Group for the period from 1 July-30 Nov. 1998, inclusive of the amount of $383,160 for the support account for peacekeeping operations.
