Decides that the 52nd session of the General Assembly shall close on Tuesday, 8 Sept. 1998 and that the 53rd session of the General Assembly shall open on Wednesday, 9 Sept. 1998; also decides that the International Day of Peace shall continue to be observed on the opening day of the regular session; further decides to include in the provisional agenda of its 53rd session the item entitled "Strengthening of the United Nations system".
