Progress on the implementation of General Assembly resolution 50/120.

Reaffirms the need for simplification and harmonization of rules and procedures in order to increase the overall effectiveness, efficiency and impact of the operational activities for international development of the UN development system, as well as the need to facilitate and increase national execution, bearing in mind the need not to overburden the host Government; expresses concern at the lack of progress made towards the use of common administrative services; stresses the importance of strengthening the monitoring and evaluation activities of the UN development system; urges all funds, programmes and agencies of the UN development system to identify measurable targets to strengthen their monitoring and evaluation capabilities.
