Invites the Secretary-General of UN to take the appropriate measures, in consultation with the Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to ensure that the needed effective cooperation and liaison between the secretariats of the 2 organizations is undertaken in order to ensure complementary actions between the 2 organizations; requests the Secretary-General of UN, in consultation with the Director General of IOM, to foster systematic consultations on matters of common interest; invites the specialized agencies and other organizations, funds and programmes of the UN system to cooperate with the Secretary-General of UN and the Director General of IOM, in order to initiate, maintain and increase consultation and programmes with IOM in the attainment of their objectives; requests the Secretary-General to ensure that, in the context of the report to be submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 50/123 of 20 Dec. 1995 under the agenda item entitled "International migration and development, including the convening of a UN conference on international migration and development", the Assembly is informed of the cooperation between UN and IOM as it develops under the Cooperation Agreement.
