Résumé
Endorses the resolutions adopted by the 9th Congress; requests the Secretary-General to pay particular attention to the operational aspects of the follow-up to the 9th Congress and urges the Department for Development Support and Management Services, UNDP, the World Bank and other funding agencies to continue to provide financial support and assistance within the framework of their technical cooperation programmes; urges all entities of the UN system to become actively involved in the implementation of the resolutions and recommendations of the 9th Congress; requests the Secretary-General to circulate the report of the 9th Congress so as to ensure that it is disseminated as widely as possible, and to conduct appropriate public information activities in this field.
