Statement [on the item entitled "Shooting down of 2 civil aircraft on 24 Feb. 1996"

Statement made on behalf of the Security Council, at the 3635th meeting, 27 Feb. 1996, in connection with prior consultations held among Council members on the item entitled "Shooting down of 2 civil aircraft on 24 Feb. 1996"; deplores the shooting down by the Cuban Air Force of 2 civil aircraft which has resulted in the death of 4 persons and requests that ICAO investigate the incident / President, Security Council.

Requests that ICAO investigate incident involving the Cuban air force which shot down 2 civil aircraft, 24 Feb. 1996, and to report its findings to the Security Council as soon as possible.
