Question of a draft optional protocol to the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.

Authorizes an open-ended working group of the Commission on Human Rights to meet for a period of 2 weeks prior to the 52nd session of the Commission in order to continue the elaboration of a draft optional protocol to the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment; requests the Secretary-General to extend all the necessary facilities to the working group for its meetings, and to transmit the report of the working group to Governments, the specialized agencies, the persons chairing the human rights treaty bodies and the intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations concerned.
