Summary
Expresses support for the achievements of the peace process thus far, in particular the Declaration of Principles on Interim Self-Government Arrangements, signed by Israel and the PLO, the Agreement on the Gaza Strip and the Jericho Area, their agreement on the preparatory transfer of powers and responsibilities, the Protocol on further transfer of powers and responsibilities, the Interim Agreement on the Agreement between Israel and Jordan on the Common Agenda, the Washington Declaration, signed by Jordan and Israel, and the Treaty of Peace between Israel and Jordan and urges all parties to implement the agreements reached; welcomes the appointment by the Secretary-General of the UN Special Coordinator in the Occupied Territories.
