Statement made on behalf of the Security Council, at the 3598th meeting, 28 Nov. 1995, in connection with prior consultations held among Council members on the item entitled "The situation in Angola"; notes that there continues to be ceasefire violations, importation of weapons, restrictions on freedom of movement, and the presence of mercenaries / President, Security Council.

Notes that there continue to be cease-fire violations, importation of weapons, restrictions on freedom of movement and the presence of mercenaries; and calls upon the Government of Angola and UNITA to continue to cooperate with the UN Angola Verification Mission III and to respect fully the status and security of international personnel.
