Summary
Statement made on behalf of the Security Council, at the 3530th meeting, 3 May 1995, in connection with prior consultations held among Council members on the item entitled "The situation in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina"; expresses deep concern about the failure of the Bosnian parties to agree to an extension of the agreements on a ceasefire and a complete cessation of hostilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and urges the Bosnian parties to abstain from any steps which may lead to further escalation of the conflict and reaffirms the need for a political settlement on the basis of the acceptance of the Contact Group plan as a starting point / President, Security Council.

Statement made on behalf of the Security Council, 3530th meeting, 3 May 1995, concerning the item entitled "The situation in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina". Calls upon the Bosnian parties to agree without further delay to a further cease-fire and a complete cessation of hostilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and, in this regard, fully supports the negotiating efforts of the UN Protection Force and other international efforts.
