Statement made on behalf of the Security Council, at the 3508th meeting, 10 Mar. 1995, in connection with prior consultations held among Council members in response to the Secretary-Generarl's 1st progress report on on UNAVEM III; calls upon the parties to improve their cooperation with each other and UN, finalize arrangements for the successful implementation of the Lusaka Protocol, cease the acquisition of arms and war matériel, and expedite the completion of the initial tasks in order to ensure the prompt deployment of UNAVEM III / President, Security Council.
