Welcomes the proposed guidelines for cooperation and technical assistance in the field of urban crime prevention; decides to transmit the proposed guidelines to the 9th UN Congress on the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders for consideration; encourages Member States to report to the Secretary-General on their experiences in elaborating and evaluating urban crime prevention projects, taking into account the proposed guidelines; calls upon the interregional, regional and associate institutes cooperating with UN in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice and non-governmental organizations to report on their experiences in the field of urban crime prevention.
