Summary
Decides to extend the existing mandate of UNAVEM II for a period of 3 months; reiterates its demand that UNITA accept the results of the elections of 30 Sept. 1992 and abide fully by the "Accordos de Paz"; condemns UNITA for continuing military actions; also condemns UNITA's repeated attempts to seize additional territory and its failure to withdraw its troops from the locations which it has occupied since the resumption of hostilities; reiterates its appeal to both parties to take all necessary measures to ensure the security and safety of UNAVEM II personnel as well as of humanitarian relief personnel; demands that UNITA release all foreign citizens held against their will; decides that the following provisions shall come into force 10 days after the adoption of the present resolution unless there is an effective ceasefire and agreement has been reached on the implementation of the "Accordos de Paz" and relevant resolutions of the Security Council; decides that all States shall prevent the sale or supply of arms and related matériel of all types as well as of petroleum and petroleum products to Angola other than through named points of entry on a list to be supplied by the Government of Angola; calls upon States to bring proceedings against persons and entities violating the above-mentioned measures; decides to establish a Committee to monitor implementation of the resolution and to report on its work to the Council with its observations and recommendations.
