Summary
Confirms the appointment of Miguel Martinez as Special Rapporteur of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities and authorizes him to carry out the study on the potential utility of treaties, agreements and other constructive arrangements between indigenous populations and Governments referred to in Commission on Human Rights resolution 1988/56; requests the Secretary-General to provide all necessary assistance to the Special Rapporteur to carry out the study; requests the Special Rapporteur to submit a progress report to the Sub-Commission at its 41st session.
