Summary
Urges all States, in particular the nuclear-weapon States and militarily significant States, to intensify their efforts in the negotiation and implementation, in appropriate forums, of regional and subregional disarmament and arms limitation measures; requests the UN to provide assistance to States that might request it with a view to establishing disarmament measures at the regional and subregional levels; invites all Member States to convey to the Secretary-General their views on ways and means aimed at strengthening regional and subregional disarmament and arms limitation efforts; requests the Secretary-General to submit a report to the General Assembly at its 45th session on the implementation of the present resolution.
