Summary
Urges the countries with the largest military arsenals and the 2 major military alliances to continue negotiations on conventional armaments, through appropriate forums, with a view to reaching early agreement on the establishment of a stable and secure balance of conventional armaments and forces at lower levels under effective international control in their respective regions, particularly in Europe; requests the Disarmament Commission to consider further, at its 1990 substantive session, issues related to conventional disarmament.
