Question of Namibia : resolutions / adopted by the General Assembly.

Requests the UN Council for Namibia: to increase the dissemination of information relating to Namibia; to focus its activities towards greater mobilization of public opinion in western countries; to counteract the total news black-out on Namibia imposed by the illegal South African regime; to intensify the international campaign for the imposition of comprehensive and mandatory sactions against South Africa; to organize an international campaign to boycott products from Namibia and South Africa; to denounce collaboration with the régime of South Africa in all fields; to organize exhibitions on Namibia; to prepare and disseminate publications on the consequences of the illegal occupation of Namibia; to prepare periodic reports on the brutalities committed against the Namibian people and ensure their widest distribution; to produce and disseminate, in both English and the local languages of Namibia, radio programmes designed to counter the hostile propaganda and disinformation campaign of the régime of South Africa; to produce and disseminate posters; to ensure full coverage of all activities of the UN regarding Namibia; to prepare and disseminate a thematic atlas on Namibia; to disseminate the comprehensive economic map of Namibia; to produce and disseminate booklets on the activities of the Council; appeals to non-governmental organization to increase the awareness of their national communities to the question of Namibia; requests Member States to observe Namibia Day in a befitting manner.
