Review of the implementation of the recommendations and decisions adopted by the General Assembly at its 10th special session : resolutions / adopted by the General Assembly.

Requests the Secretary-General, with the assistance of the Group of Consultant Experts chosen by him, bearing in mind the advisability of wide geographical representation and of their qualifications in a broad range of scientific fields, to carry out a study on the climatic and potential physical effects of nuclear war, including nuclear winter, which will examine, inter alia, its socio-economic consequences and would take into account the Secretary-General's report and the source documents from which the compilation was prepared, together with any other relevant scientific studies; requests the Secretary-General to transmit the study to the General Assembly in due time for consideration at its 43rd session, in 1988.
