Summary
Appeals to all Governments to ensure that the highest standards of safety in the design and operation of nuclear plants are applied in order to minimize risks to life and health; further appeals to all Governments to take into account, when discussing nuclear energy matters during the UN Conference for the Promotion of International Co-operation in the Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy, the legitimate interests of neighbouring countries that could be affected by transboundary effects of the use of nuclear energy.
