Question of Namibia : resolutions / adopted by the General Assembly.

Decides that the UN Council for Namibia shall represent Namibia and shall participate as a full member in all conferences, organizations and bodies; request the Council to accede to any international conventions, as it may deem appropriate; decides that the Council shall consult regularly with the leaders of SWAPO, review the progress of the liberation struggle in Namibia, consider the illegal activities of foreign economic interests, secure the territorial integrity of Namibia as a unitary State, including Walvis Bay and the offshore islands of Namibia; decides to finance the office of SWAPO in New York; decides that an International Conference for the Immediate Independence of Namibia shall be held in Western Europe in 1986, preceding the special session of the General Assembly on the question of Namibia; decides that, in order to expedite training of the personnel required for an independent Namibia, qualified Namibians should be given opportunities to develop further their skills in the work of the Secretariat and the specialized agencies and other organizations of the UN System.
