Security Council resolution 913 (1994) [on the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in the safe area of Gorazde and political settlement of the situation in the former Yugoslavia]

Demands the immediate conclusion by the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosnian Serbs of a ceasefire agreement, under the auspices of UNPROFOR, in Gorazde and throughout the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, leading to an agreement on cessation of hostilities, and demands that all parties comply strictly with such agreements; invites the Secretary-General to take steps to ensure that UNPROFOR is able to monitor the situation in Gorazde including any measure to put heavy weapons of the parties under UN control; condemns the shelling and attacks by Bosnian Serbs against Gorazde and demands the withdrawal of these forces and their weapons to an agreed upon distance; calls for an end to any provocative action in and around the safe areas; demands the immediate release of all UN personnel still held by Bosnian Serbs and also demands unimpeded freedom of movement for UNPROFOR in fulfilment of its tasks; resolves to take action by 30 Apr. 1994 on further troop requirements recommended by the Secretary-General; calls for intensification of efforts to achieve a peaceful settlement with coordination among the representatives of the United States, the Russian Federation, UN and the European Union.
