Stresses the need for the full and timely implementation of the commitments and policies agreed upon in the Declaration and in the International Development Strategy for the 4th UN Development Decade; encourages Member States that have not yet submitted their reports on the implementation of the commitments and policies agreed upon in the Declaration and in the International Development Strategy to do so; decides, in order to monitor the progress made in the implementation of the Declaration and the International Development Strategy and to facilitate the deliberation of the report of the Secretary-General on the subject to include in the provisional agenda of its 49th session the item entitled "International cooperation for economic growth and development: (a) implementation of the commitments and policies agreed upon in the Declaration on International Economic Cooperation, in particular the Revitalization of Economic Growth and Development of the Developing Countries; (b) implementation of the International Development Strategy for the 4th UN Development Decade"; requests the Secretary-General to include in his analytical and comprehensive report on the implementation of the commitments and policies agreed upon in the Declaration and in the International Development Strategy difficulties in implementing the commitments and measures by Member States that have to be taken for the expeditious and full implementation of the agreements contained therein.
