Summary
Urges all Member States to make every possible effort to ensure payment of their assessed contributions to ONUMOZ in full and on time; requests the Secretary-General to explore all possibilities in order to ensure prompt reimbursement to troop-contributing countries; decides to appropriate to the Special Account a total amount of US$54 million gross ($52,785,200 net) for the operation of ONUMOZ for the period from 1 July to 31 Oct. 1993; decides also as an ad hoc arrangement, to apportion the amount of $54 million gross (52,785,000 net) for the period from 1 July to 31 Oct. 1993 among Member States in accordance with the composition of groups set out in paragraphs 3 and 4 of General Assembly resolution 43/232 of 1 Mar. 1989, as adjusted by the Assembly in its resolutions 44/192 B of 21 Dec. 1989, 45/269 of 27 Aug. 1991, 46/198 A of 20 Dec. 1991 and 47/218 of 23 Dec. 1992, and taking into account the scale of assessments set out in resolution 46/221 A of 20 Dec. 1991 and decision 47/456 of 23 Dec. 1992; authorizes the Secretary-General to enter into commitments for ONUMOZ at a rate not to exceed $20 million gross ($19,439,000 net) per month should the Security Council decide to extend the mandate of the Operation beyond 31 Oct. 1993.
