Financing of the United Nations Observer Mission Uganda-Rwanda and the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly.

Urges all Member States to make every possible effort to ensure payment of their assessed contributions to UNOMUR and to UNAMIR promptly and in full; requests the Secretary-General to take all necessary action to ensure that UNAMIR is administered with a maximum of efficiency and economy; decides to appropriate to the Special Account for UNAMIR a total amount of US$163,101,700 gross for the period from 5 Apr.-9 Dec. 1994, inclusive of the amount of $57,063,960 gross authorized under the provisions of General Assembly resolution 48/248; decides further that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of the estimated additional staff assessment income of $202,200 approved for UNAMIR for the period from 5 Apr.-9 Dec. 1994; decides that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States their respective share in the unencumbered balances of $1,288,200 gross in respect of UNAMIR for the period from 22 June-21 Dec. 1993 and $10,531,600 gross in respect of UNAMIR for the period from 5 Oct. 1993 to 4 Apr. 1994; decides also, with regard to the period beyond 9 Dec. 1994, to authorize the Secretary-General to enter into commitments for a 4-month period, at a monthly rate not to exceed $15 million gross, in connection with the maintenance of UNAMIR.
