Financing of the United Nations Transition Assistance Group : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly.

Endorses the observations and recommendations contained in the report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions; urges all Member States to make every possible effort to ensure payment of their assessed contributions to UNTAG in full; takes note with appreciation of the financing by 2 Member States through voluntary contributions of the shortfall of the Office of UNHCR for the repatriation of Namibians, and decides that the corresponding amount in the Special Account for UNTAG shall be transferred to the Peace-keeping Reserve Fund; decides that US$2,006,977, representing the unencumbered balance of appropriations ($1,952,629) and the additonal voluntary contributions in cash ($54,348), in the Special Account for UNTAG shall be credited to Member States; decides further to transfer any additional amount remaining in the Special Account for UNTAG after liquidation of obligations owed to Member States to the Peace-keeping Reserve Fund.
