Résumé
Having learned of the recent promulgation of measures aimed at strengthening and extending the economic, commercial and financial embargo against Cuba, calls upon all States to refrain from promulgating and applying laws and measures of the kind referred to in the preamble to this resolution in conformity with their obligations under the Charter of UN and international law, and with the commitments which they have freely entered into in acceding to international legal instruments which, inter alia, reaffirm the freedom of trade and navigation; urges States which have such laws or measures to take the necessary steps to repeal or invalidate them as soon as possible in accordance with their legal regime; requests the Secretary-General to prepare a report on the implementation of this resolution and to submit it for consideration by the General Assembly at its 48th session.
