Welcomes the initiative of Unesco in proclaiming 1995 UN year for tolerance; requests the Director-General of Unesco to prepare, in cooperation with other interested organizations, his suggestions on the observance of the UN year of tolerance and to submit them to the General Assembly at its 48th session; invites the Economic and Social Council to consider at its next session the question of proclaiming 1995 the UN year for tolerance and to transmit a recommendation to the General Assembly at its 48th session; encourages Unesco to prepare a declaration on tolerance.
