Resúmen
Strongly renews its call upon all States to consider and respect the continent of Africa and its surrounding areas as a nuclear-weapon-free zone; takes note of the report of the Director General of IAEA on the implementation of the safeguards agreement between the Government of South Africa and the Agency, including the verification of the completeness of the inventory of South Africa's nuclear installations and material; calls upon South Africa to continue to comply fully with the implementation of its safeguards agreement with IAEA; requests the Secretary-General, in consultation with OAU, to take appropriate action to enable the Group of Experts designated by UN in cooperation with OAU to meet during 1993 at Harare, in order to draw up a draft treaty or convention on the denuclearization of Africa, and to submit the report of the Group of Experts to the General Assembly at its 48th session; requests the Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly at its 48th session on the progress made by the Director-General of IAEA in ensuring the full implementation of the safeguards agreement with South Africa.
