Summary
Recommends to the General Assembly that the Committee for Programme and Coordination should, from 1988 onward, be composed of 34 States Members of the UN, elected for 3-year terms on the basis of equitable geographical distribution; also recommends to the General Assembly that it should elect the new members of the Committee for Programme and Coordination at its 42nd session; requests that, for the purpose of electing the new members, the General Assembly should dispense with the requirement of nomination by the Council.
