Summary
Authorizes the Secretary-General to deploy, as a matter of urgency, UN observers in South Africa, in such a manner and in such numbers as he determines necessary to address effectively the areas of concern noted in his report, in coordination with the structures set up under the National Peace Accord; requests the Secretary-General to report to the Security Council quarterly, or more frequently if necessary, on the implementation of the present resolution; calls on the Government of South Africa, parties and organizations, and the structures set up under the National Peace Accord, to extend their full cooperation to the UN observers to enable them to carry out their tasks effectively; invites international organizations such as OAU, the Commonwealth and the European Community to consider deploying their own observers in South Africa in coordination with UN; decides to remain seized of the matter until a democratic, non-racial and united South Africa is established.
