Having received the recommendation of the Security Council of 8 Aug. 1991 that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea should be admitted to membership in UN, having considered separately the application for membership of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the application for membership of the Republic of Korea: (1) decides to admit the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to membership in UN; (2) decides to admit the Republic of Korea to membership in UN.
