Financing of the United Nations Angola Verification Mission II : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly.

Decides to continue to use the Special Account, established for UNAVEM in accordance with General Assembly resolution 43/231 for the UN Angola Verification Mission II beginning on 1 June 1991; decides also to appropriate to the Special Account an amount of 49,467,000 US dollars gross, inclusive of the amount of 10 million dollars authorized by the Advisory Committee under the terms of General Assembly resolution 44/203, for the operation of the Verification Mission for the period from 1 June to 31 Dec. 1991; decides further, as an ad hoc arrangement, to apportion the amount of 49,467,000 dollars gross for the above-mentioned period among Member States in accordance with the composition of groups set out in paragraphs 3 and 4 of General Assembly resolution 43/232, as adjusted in its resolution 44/192 B, and taking into account the scale of assessments for the years 1989-1991; decides that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States, as provided for in paragraph 5 of the resolution, their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of the estimated staff assessment income of 334,100 dollars approved for the period from 1 June to 31 Dec. 1991, inclusive and their respective share in the projected surplus of 1,421,658 dollars gross (1,351,258 dollars net) for the period from 3 Jan. 1989 to 31 May 1991, inclusive; decides that Liechtenstein and Namibia shall be included in the group of Member States set out in paragraphs 3 (b) and 3 (d) of General Assembly resolution 43/232, respectively; invites voluntary contributions to UNAVEM.
