Summary
Invites the Secretary-General of UNCTAD and the President of the UN Conference on an International Code of Conduct on the Transfer of Technology to continue and to finalize in 1987, on the basis of a more structured consultative mechanism, their consultations with regional groups and interested Governments with a view to identifying appropriate solutions to the issues outstanding in the code of conduct; decides to take, at the 42nd session, in the light of the consultations, further action on the negotiations on the code of conduct, including the possible reconvening of the UN Conference on an International Code of Conduct on the Transfer of Technology, preferably in 1988.
