Summary
Urges all States to take the necessary measures under their respective domestic laws to prohibit the recruitment, financing, training and transit of mercenaries on their territory and other territories under their control; encourages the Ad Hoc Committee on the Drafting of an International Convention against the Recruitment, Use, Financing and Training of Mercenaries to make every effort to complete its mandate and to submit a draft convention to the General Assembly; urges the Commission on Human Rights to appoint a special rapporteur on this subject with the view to preparing a report for consideration at the 44th session of the Commission.
