Resúmen
Appeals to the African Member States to include in their plans the Strategies identified at the intergovernmental preparatory meeting held in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania, from 8 to 12 Oct. 1984 and to ensure their implementation; appeals to the organizations of the UN, Governments, and intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations to support the implementation of the five-year plan for the implementation of the Strategies in African Member States; calls upon the Secretary-General and intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations to co-operate in establishing a mechanism for monitoring the implementation of the Strategies, the progress made in achieving the objectives of the Decade for Women, and the changing situation of women in Africa.
