Arrangements for the dispatch of a Visiting Mission to Observe the Plebiscite in Palau, Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands : resolution / adopted by the Trusteeship Council.

Decides to send a visiting mission, of approximately 2 weeks duration, to Palau, the mission to begin on or about 13 Feb. 1986 and end as soon as practicable after the declaration of the results of the plebiscite; further decides that the visiting mission will be composed of representatives of Fiji, France, Papua New Guinea and United Kingdom; directs the visiting mission to observe the plebiscite, including the campaign and polling arrangements, the casting of votes, the closure of voting, the counting of ballots and the declaration of results; requests the visiting mission to submit to the Trusteeship Council as soon as practicable a report on its observations of the plebiscite, containing such conclusions and recommendations as it may wish to make.
