Question of enforced or involuntary disappearances : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly.

Welcomes the decision of the Commission on Human Rights to extend for one year the term of the mandate of the Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances, as well as to consider at its 42nd session the possibility of extending to two years the term of the mandate of the Working Group; appeals to all Governments to provide the Working Group and the Commission on Human Rights with the full co-operation warranted by their strictly humanitarian objectives and their working methods based on discretion; encourages the Governments concerned to consider with special attention the wish of the Working Group, when such a wish is expressed, to visit their countries, thus enabling the Group to fulfil its mandate even more effectively.
