Summary
Approves the Milan Plan of Action adopted by the 7th Congress, as a useful means of strengthening international co-operation in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice; recommends the Guiding Principles for Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in the context of Development and a New International Economic Order for national, regional and international action; invites Member States to monitor systematically the steps being taken to ensure co-ordination of efforts in the planning and execution of measures to reduce the social costs of crime and its negative effects on the development process.
