Calls upon Member States of UN and Member States of the specialized agencies to take appropriate measures to ensure the full and effective implementation of the commitments and policies agreed upon in the Declaration; requests the Secretary-General to submit to the General Assembly at its 46th session a report on the steps taken by the Governments of developed and developing countries, individually and collectively, as well as by the organs, organizations and bodies of the UN system, to fulfil those commitments and policies, taking into account Economic and Social Council resolution 1990/54; decides to include in the agenda of its 46th session an item entitled "Implementation of the commitments and policies agreed upon in the Declaration on International Economic Cooperation, in particular the Revitalization of Economic Growth and Development of the Developing Countries"; decides that, during consideration of the item, the General Assembly should elaborate effective modalities to ensure action-oriented political review and follow-up processes for the Declaration on International Economic Cooperation, and for the International Development Strategy for the 4th United Nations Development Decade.
